About Elaina
I grew up in a tiny country town in Pennsylvania, where my favorite pasttimes were biking and walking in the creek that powered the feed mill just down the road. Going through school I became that band geek - played the clarinet in the pit band, jazz band, concert band, even qualified for state band. My biggest obsession was marching band, of which I became drum major. In the meantime I was being that shy nerdy girl that was kinda weird but always got good grades.
It was a full ride that took me from my tiny town and flew me to Atlanta, Georgia for college. I continued to play the clarinet but soon got overwhelmed by the stress and personal issues, so I found a new outlet in dance. My first rave was a winter themed rave called Kingdom X - Kingdom being the biggest rave around. My very first rave there were 4,000+ people there and I got to see Zed's Dead and M Machine live. That was something crazy. From there I went to Katalyst's Hunger Raves and that was where I fell in love. Katalyst was different in that there was truly a community there...and there was room to dance! I need a lot of room to dance.
Dancing is still me biggest release and I can't get enough. It's helped me stay sane through my degree (actuarial science at GSU) and I'm going to do whatever I can to keep it in my life even while working the 9 to 5 that awaits me in Greensboro. To be honest, I'm so ready to get out of Atlanta and to move on to the next chapter in my life. Hopefully it'll be a chapter with many awesome people and nights of dancing 'til the sun comes up.
